Every place that I have worked at so far...which isn't a lot, I have encouraged the idea of recycling if it wasn't already in place and helped to acquire the bins and the knowledge of what can and can't be recycled.

Additionally, we have looked into ways to reduce our electrical demand through studies into wind, solar, and geothermal among other things. It is often slow and tedious...with sometimes no results. But when it does happen it is awesome to see it in action.

When I worked in a machine shop there were recycle cans all over the building along with regular trash. I saw just as many aluminum cans in the regular trash as the recycle cans. That's really disappointing considering the shop recycles all their trash metal from the machines so it is on everyone's mind all the time.
